Dualé is presenting a new series of sculptures, in which materials are confronted with their functionality, only to escape from it and waver towards unstable forms. The series of squezzed boxes capture a moment of the magic trick where the body of the (female) assistant having entered a box is transformed ( tortured?) and rearrange in a grotesque way. Fragments of bodies, once pressed within these boxes, are scattered on the floor or displayed on the booth's walls. Limbs, reassembled like modules, morph into sculptures that resemble columns, standing upright, plugged with unclear functionnalities. The installation ends with a frieze-like variation of ceramic « images » suggesting a floating cloth ( perhaps the one used by the magicien), a procession or or the fluid movements of a dance weaving through them.
