This work presents a series of sculptural display-stands designed to showcase books or other documents that students wish to share.Unlike a rationalized and efficient library system,  encourages a playful approach and a physical, intuitive relationship to the sharing of knowledge.Implicitly, it invites attention to the ways in which information is communicated to us and emphasizes the importance of the medium through which knowledge is transmitted, as much as the content itself—echoing, for example, McLuhan’s theories.Intended for use by students as a book exchange or a participatory library, it fosters exchange: students can borrow or leave books in a spirit of sharing. This practice embodies the idea of the school/artwork as a physical space in which these exchanges of knowledge take place.
